Yamato HD O_o

Ok so why did I put that O_o emote in my title... Well that's because of how I feel at the moment... o_O I had no idea how intense this "High Detail"ing project of mine would be for my fan made labor of love, but geez.. I'm beginning to wonder how you guys keep track of all these details.

Anyhow for starters, Yamato HD, or High Detail, features more hull markings and other little visual nic-nacks that my current low resolution, low detail model omits for a reason... this is taxing my old dell, and I even went so far as to shut down services that I don't need, made a custom scratch-file size for my system, dumped a ton of unused or old apps, and extension~plug-ins into the recycle bin, and defragged the hell out of my drive, so time to scratch file, and back to RAM was as short as possible... sketchup is beginning to complain this model is getting too big.. and it's beginning to show... redrawing frames while orbiting the camera around it taking stupidly toooooo long xPPPP and already I'm 5mb into my max allowed 10mb limit.... XD... ok well apart from this mini rant~ramble, here's what I've done.

Top pic frame shows Yami with her new HD appearance with a resized 3rd bridge, hull markings, and a few tweaks to the hull.

2nd frame shows Yami on a side view for a clear view of the new hull markings.

3rd frame shows a close view of Yami's upper weather deck and bridge tower with ladders, handrailing, and watertight doors in place.

4th frame shows a close up of Yam's radar, which was once a simple painted two sided basic shape... Now it's a fully detailed radar thingy with actual bars and ribs and parts in it, with a fancy wire-mesh to complete the radar panel.

5th frames shows Yams new reshaped engine/rocket nozzles, with turbine blades to be added later... xP

and lastly 6th frame shows a close up of Yam's United Nations EDF flag that is perhaps more politically correct than her original red sunburst Raising Sun flag, but I'm still keeping that layer for all of the fans to enjoy.. I'm not trashing the raising sun!

And this is just the starters of my project HD Yamato. There are many many more little details like nuts and bolts that I need to add but at some point I'm gonna get sick of all this and say fuck it... it's done.

It's a labor of love for my fellow Matsumoto fans to enjoy, and I just hope I can motor on strongly and continue to detail the hell out of this boat without crashing my compy or making other fan's compy crash.
