Reborn Fleet by NezumiYuki Reborn Fleet by NezumiYuki
For tonights submission before I resume doodling in gimp, I'd like to post this, my reborn space fleet which was almost lost to a computer failure. Thankfully I had kept crude early version backups on sandisk, so I was able to rebuild my ship, even if it was sort of a pain... I am quite pleased with the results. =D

In Blues and White - SDX White Witch Evo2
In Blacks and Grays - SDX Warlock Evo2
In Blacks and Grays(lower foreground) SBB Schwarze Holle - Burakku Jigoku
In Whites and Grays(lower foreground) SBB Valkyrie

Some details about each ship:
Beginning first with the White Witch...

SDX White Witch is my new super dreadnought, a word taken from old English meaning "Fear Nothing" a term aptly used for any iron clad warship so overwhelmingly larger and more powerful than any of it's peers that it simply dominates any battle evolution it encounters. The White Witch is in her second evolution, hence Evo2 as her designation... She was built around the now proven SDX or SuperDreadnought type X hull design which Max and I eventually prefected, and compared to the Valkyrie and Burakku which she utterly dwarfs, White Witch was meant to deal with other large combat theater dominating ships or dreadnoughts of similar caliber, but when teamed up with the SDX Warlock, sister ship to the white witch, they both combine enough fire power to deal with monstrously large planetary assault ships, such as the Portent of Darkness helmed by the tyrant, Emperor Zordar.

White Witch and Warlock are based on catamaran hull designs which allows the maximum amount of firepower to be used while still keeping a relatively small hull size to make best use of armor coverage and shielding. The open space between catamaran hulls below the main super structure of the SDX allows the placement of various weapons packages to be slung under hull, much like under-wing munitions on contemporary fighter jets. However for most missions, the high power density "MagnaFlame" recoilless Rifle works best, however to supplement forward firepower for anti-fleet operations, additional forward firing auto-cannons can be fitted.

In the evolution two of the SDX design, Max has replace the catamaran hull's raised center turret with a single tube, large scale auto-cannon to give even more firepower in an improved firing arc that is nearly hemispherical (not counting hull interference) The earlier multi tube turret emplacement on the cat hulls were effective and reliable, however recent encounters with the the Black Nebula forces on the fringe of Gamilon territory has prompted Max and I to further upgrade and improve our SDX with these newer auto-cannon turrets which are essentially up-scaled tachyon firing M242 BushMaster like those found on M3 Bradley.

Other various details about the SDX and my other ships can be found on my earlier submissions regarding my space iron clads. XDD

The relatively tiny ships parked next to the Warlock and White Witch are Max's first super iron clad the Burakku and my first space battleship the Valkyrie.

The Val is based upon the A150 "Super Yamato" design that was never constructed near the end half of WWII. She like the Burakku, were our first space iron clads to lend assistance to the Earth Defence Forces dealing with the new threat, the White Comet Empire about a year after the EDF Yamato returned home with Stasha's Cosmo DNA to clean up the radiation poisoning on Earth from the Gamilon planet bombing. The Burakku Jigoku, or Black Hell was Max's idea. The only way he could conceive mounting a monster sized wave-motion gun on a ship not too much bigger than the Yamato or our Valkyrie, was to build a catamaran. The gap between hulls allowed a solid tube "bazooka" type of wave-motion gun to be placed there, and shot without causing any undue stress on the hull or super structure that firing the Yamato's bow mount WMG incurs. Essentially an open ended tube with a rocket nozzle like flair at the back to enhance exhaust jet dispersion, the "Recoilless" style of WMG and later larger MagnaFlame for the SDX, fires two jets of wave-motion tachyons out the gun tube. One is aimed at the target to destroy it with a jet essentially 3X more power density than the Andromeda or Andromeda2 can muster with a full charge, while the other jet exits the back of the cannon to cancel out recoil effect. Essentially our "bazookas" opperate in principle just as the namesake which they were based upon do. [link]

The rest of the Burakku and Valkyrie are pretty much standard EDF tech, other than perhaps optimizing each component for added performance, but other than that, the type-1 wave motion engines, and later reverse engineered comet empire Magna Enjin are standard types. The guns are similiar to those found on the Yamato, Musashi, and Andromeda, while the only difference with our ships is the use of autonomous android defenceive guns, based on the CIWS and Mk45 auto guns instead of clusters upon clusters of manned "pulse lasers" that the Yamato and Musashi use.. The exception to this is the Andromeda and Andromeda2 wich like our ships, uses automated defensive turrets to deal with fighter or anti ship missle or torpedo threats.

***********

I'm please I was able to rebuild and phoenix my ships! For a moment I thought I had forever lost them when my table top computer died on me. I had saved some earlier back up files, but never got around to backing up my more recent revisions... Luckily sketchup is pretty stable and not very resource hungry like some other 3D apps I can think of, so I was able to reload my backup files to a work folder on my laptop and rebuild what I thought was lost. ^ ^

Anyhow, these are my Uchuu Sankan Yamato based space iron clads inspired by the great Leiji Matsumoto. Sadly I'm not able to model the Yamato herself... I still do not have the experience, and now powerful enough hardware to attempt modeling the icon... I had posted an attempt earlier using Blender, but now that my table top is dead, I can't continue her... =(

Maybe later if I feel adventurous enough using sketchup, I'll attempt to model EDF Yamato, but that's only a dream for now. *head tilt*

White Witch
Warlock
Burakku Jigoku / Schwarze Holle
Valkyrie

are my space cadet maniac made battleships again following Leiji san's mentality of flying battleships which have since become so iconic in scifi regardless the series. =D XDDD

do you make a different type of weapon then copy paste it over and over again in different areas to save time like me? :3

also do you only do one whole half then copy and flip the other half? :3

Seems to me you know a little something about copy-paste, huh? ;)
Sure saves time and effort! ^ ^
