M48 Patton in progress

Here's a photo-spread of my nearly completed Patton M48 sketchup model that will be something of a Christmas gift for fellow fans of World of Tanks and the anime Girls und Panzer by Girls und Paner Projekt committee.

For the most part, my Patton is 95% completed, with a few minor bugs to be sorted out. It will feature several hidden bits that distinguish this sketchup model as either an earlier M48A3 (Alpha three) or the later M48A5 (Alpha Fiver) as the current view seen here depicts this as the A5 variant with the 105mm British L7 gun, five track return rollers, and M1 type Commander's cupola with integrated M2-Browning heavy machine gun, vision ports, and periscope.

To depict the earlier A3 version, simply hide the 105mm gun and un-hide the 90mm T57-M3 gun hidden within the Rifle grouping hive of polygons.

For personal preference I've moved the Jerry can of fuel to the rear basket on the turret, however if you wish you can move it back to the side of the turret position to conform to reference photos.

Once I debug my model, I'll come up with my GuP themed Xmas card for this year, incidentally.
