Originally Carl was drawn up for shits and giggles, but after some insistence from hubby, I've decided to finish this off and share it with all of you.

This is Carl Gustav with his Carl Gustaf, blowing stuff up, and generally Powning everything in sight! Carl is a Sergeant I suppose, in some army, still have not decided who's or what era this is supposed to be.. but Carl is a war horse who take great pleasure in blowing the snot out of things with his rifle.. although if you ask me, that M3 is more like a cannon than a rifle, but technical terms are what they are, and so Carl's Gustaf is a rifle.. albeit a big huge mutha!

Carl's quotes are taken from audio clips from one of my hubby's favorite games, TF2, and his two most used character types are Heavy, and or Soldier, so for Carl, I kinda blended them together.

In FiM fandom, Carl is a buddy of Big Uni, or my Max, and they have a rivalry going on between them, as Max loves to use an ancient (Korean) era M20-75mm recoilless rifle to rack up wins with while Carl is more content to keep to his modern M3 Gustaf, even if he can't carry as many shells as Max can.

Max loves to rub it in Carl's face that his has more skillz cuz he can blow up more tanks with his tinier (relatively speaking of course) M20 than Carl's modern M3, but Carl thinks Max is nuts for using an antique to fight with that's more apt to blow up in Max's face any day now, rather than do much damage to the enemy, but figures don't lie.. Max has killed more enemy armor with his tiny M20. And this fact burns Carl like you can't imagine so Carl likes to take it out on tanks that Max can't get at while reloading. Still Carl and Max are chums, so rivalry aside you'd often see those two hanging out together at Pony Joes scarfing down donuts and chugging down RedBulls or Mike's Hard Lemonades.

I was originally content with showing off Carl as my sketch, as seen in my gallery, but hubby insisted that it'd be neat if I finished Carl and display him, and I'm glad I listened to my big lug this time. He's right though. Carl looks pretty neat, even if he sorta goes against what MLP FiM is all about, in certain areas, like violence.. But Carl and Max in pony form do share a friendship, so Carl is not a total slap in the face of other pony fans.
