Bell-222 Black

File edit aug_16th_2013 - I had forgotten the American registry number November 2 2 2 Golf Bravo, so I dove back into the photoshop file, added the registry number to the engine cowling, and after import back into sketchup, sprayed the new skin over the model to replace the inaccurate skin.

Looks good, so here is the completed Bell-Texton 222 in black with red stripes with her proper reg. number. Hope you like it.

This was request by asking for a Bell Helicopters model 222 in black with red trim.

This incidentally was a second experiment using photoshop made textures to paint or 'Skin' over the model with instead of using SketchUp's built in colors pallet. The image file was created by first exporting a profile view of the object, in this case the triple two, and sizing it for 1000 pixels wide... the limit to which SketchUp is willing to comfortably handle images in jpg, PNG, and TIFF for use as texture skins, and then make new layers in photoshop to create the red pin-stripes that would later be imported back into sketchup for spray painting (projecting) onto the sides of the model to get the results you see here. I'm pleased that it turned out as well as my blue and white Cabri had.

The empty hangar and tarmac ramp leading up to it were thrown in to complete a simple scene, whereby I could then turn on shadowing and make this image complete.

I have another image regarding this Bell-222 that I will post right after this image, and in that rendering, I've placed other models in the scene to make sure I had gotten the scaling for the simple heli-hangar reasonably correct and sized large enough to fit the Bell inside of, and park a few other copters besides it.
