Before-N-After-meme

This was something I've just done a little while ago and am posting for this mid morning's fun.

The left image is Mrs. Elizabeth Hartman Brisby done by me as a steam-punk air pirate, circa July 2009. [link]

The image on the right is my current update which I have yet to post as a seperate image, however it's circa: March 2011.

The before and after images don't have much different about them, other than say more attention payed to anatomy and better pose and foreshortening used in the after image.

The before image was originally thought up with Mrs. Brisby holding on to a ship's steering wheel and elevator wheel. (fun fact) Old style dirigibles had two control wheels.. one for steering, the other for climbing and diving.. as such, I placed her right arm kinda in an odd angle so she could grip the top of the wheel and hold the Scarlet Scourge level in flight, while the after image simply shows Mrs. Brisby arms akimbo on her hip, which was a much easier pose to pull off, hence she looks more normal.

Also on the point of paying more attention to anatomy, note the before image has her breast looking odd, again due to my trying to pose her with her right arm outstretched and grasping the elevator wheel, but even then, now with reflection I think I could have done a far better job with her chest, as can be noted in my newer after image where now Mrs. Brisby has a lovely chest, nice and full, but far more balanced in symmetry and therefore much more appealing to the eye... partly due to her not having to reach up for the top of a contol wheel, and partly because I've improved overall somewhat. XDD

The most notable change however is perhaps boldness of the artist!

The before image has Mrs. Brisby somewhat more modest, and clothed more, while the newer after has her quite yummy and furry naked, save for her tiny red cape. XDDD

I originally wasn't very comfortable portraying the icon Mrs. Brisby the way I do now, and hence I clothed her more, but after finding out that most of the fan base is tolerant of my portraying her the way I do, I've since adapted Mrs. Brisby even more to my tastes in attitude and personal dress, and shameful misconduct in general... heck she's an air pirate in my fan universe.. she can act however she pleases! XDDD

Also since I've began portraying Mrs. Brisby more how I wish to, rather than worrying so much what the fan base thinks of my portrayals of her, I've also began drawing subtle features of her, notably her nose, more in my own personal style, vs, Bluth's style. I've found that for mice and rats, the nose has much to do with appearance as say the round ears and tail, so I've used my own styling, frequently found on my personage, and adapted it to Mrs. Brisby and I think Liz Bris looks quite nice with my more realistic rodent nose than her original cartoony nose. xDD

Hope you all find my use of Bampire's before and after meme amusing. I sure found it amusing!
